The company
Darbhanga CCTV Center was started in June 2022 by Shamim Akram, a B.Tech graduate in Computer Science & Engineering, to bring a proper technical approach to CCTV work in the city.
The company grew out of an IT background rather than a hardware counter, which is why network setup, recorder configuration and remote viewing are treated as part of the job and not an afterthought. Today a team of roughly five to ten people handles surveys, installation, configuration and service across Darbhanga.

- How much does CCTV installation cost in Darbhanga?
- HD CCTV packages start from ₹12,999 for 4 cameras and IP CCTV packages start from ₹19,999 for 4 cameras. The final cost depends on the number of cameras, the system you choose and the site. Installation is charged separately and is not included in the package price.
- Which CCTV camera is suitable for a home?
- For most homes an HD system with cameras at the main gate, entrance and any rear or terrace access is enough. Choose IP cameras when you need higher resolution, for example to read a number plate or cover a long driveway.
- How many cameras do I need?
- Count your entry points first — gate, main door, back door, stairs and parking. Most homes and shops are covered by 4 to 8 cameras. We confirm the count after looking at the property.
- Can I view CCTV on my phone?
- Yes. When the system is configured for internet access we set up the mobile app on your phone so you can view live and recorded footage remotely.
- What is the difference between HD and IP CCTV?
- HD CCTV sends the video over coaxial cable to a DVR and is a cost-effective choice for everyday coverage. IP CCTV uses network cable and an NVR, gives higher resolution and is easier to scale for larger properties.
- Do you repair existing CCTV systems?
- Yes. We handle cameras that are not recording, offline recorders, damaged cables, hard disk faults and mobile viewing that has stopped working — including systems installed by someone else.
- Is installation included in package pricing?
- No. Package prices cover the package only; installation is quoted separately based on the property, cable length and mounting work involved.
- How much storage do CCTV cameras need?
- Storage depends on camera count, resolution and how many days of footage you want to keep. A typical 4 camera HD system with a 1TB hard disk holds roughly a few weeks of continuous recording; IP cameras use more space per day.
